Scholarship

The Jon C. Dalton Institute on College Student Values brings together students, faculty, and professionals from inside and outside the higher education setting to discuss a common goal: preparing present and future students to become engaged individuals of integrity. The “Dalton Experience,” as we like to call it, combines the scholarship of a national conference with the community of a professional development workshop. It has a rich history spanning more than a quarter century.

Engagement

Approximately 150 participants and volunteers are granted the opportunity not only to listen to the inspirational words of our keynote speakers and concurrent session presenters, but to engage with them in dialogue as well. The format of the Dalton Institute allows for an active audience where everyone is engaged in the conversation.

Hospitality

Volunteers are available throughout the Dalton Institute to provide transportation and local recommendations. More importantly, they provide the hospitality and warm nature that has become a staple of Florida State University and this conference. It is one of the many reasons our participants return to the institute year after year.
