The Dalton Institute Experience
The Jon C. Dalton Institute on College Student Values brings together students, faculty, and professionals from inside and outside the higher education setting to discuss a common goal, preparing present and future students to become engaged individuals of integrity. The "Dalton Institute Experience," as we like to call it, combines the scholarship of a national conference with the community of a professional development workshop. It has a rich history of nearly 25 years.
Building a Community
Approximately 250 participants and volunteers are granted the opportunity to not only listen to the inspirational words of our keynote speakers (see Eboo Patel left) and concurrent session presenters; they have the opportunity to engage with them in dialogue as well. The format of the Dalton Institute allows for an active audience where everyone is open to and engaged in the conversation at hand.
Volunteers are available throughout the Dalton Institute to provide transportation and meals; more importantly, they provide the hospitality and warm nature that has become a staple of out The Florida State University and this conference. It is one of the many reasons our participants return to the table each year.
